a cost effective, performance package for deep draw,
peelable irradiation-sterilizable applications

Addison,
IL — November 7, 2004 — Rollprint Packaging
Products, Inc. introduces Overture 3D Peel Pack for
applications
desiring both performance and value in a deep-draw,
peelable, irradiation sterilizable package. Overture
is a combination of Rollprint’s FlexForm™ B2 forming
web and its Allegro® T peelable top web.
|
Newly launched FlexForm™ B2 offers exceptional forming characteristics coupled with clarity and puncture resistance. It is a high value, thermoformable, blown film produced with a proprietary polyolefin blend. Its performance characteristics make it an ideal replacement for either of the two traditional forming web structures—EVA/Surlyn/EVA or nylon coextrusions.
As a result
of Rollprint’s state-of-the art technology, the company is now able to use high-performance resins in its Flexform™ B2 structure to deliver equal or superior package performance at a more cost-effective price. The technological breakthrough gives sterile medical packaging manufacturers a way to remove cost from their packaging materials without sacrificing performance.
The Allegro® T blown coextrusion, high-density polyethylene top web has been engineered to outperform competitive structures. Allegro® T offers exceptional “lay flat” characteristics. This is a key benefit in a sterile field environment where curling materials can potentially pose contamination problems. In addition, the “lay flat” feature helps promote a high quality image.
Rollprint’s cohesive peelable technology helps insure a consistent tamper-evident peel. Further, the material is easily printable inline—providing additional value and flexibility to the packager.
Ideal applications
for Overture include a wide variety of sterile and non-sterile
applications where high-performance standards at a cost-effective
price are desired.
