Rollprint offers peelable, formable foil structures for pharmaceutical, medical applications

Addison, IL — November 7, 2004 — Peelable formable foil structures for pharmaceutical and medical applications are now available from Rollprint Packaging Products, Inc.

FormFoil cold-formed laminates have been developed to address the most demanding formable foil

applications without cracking or delamination. Now available with peelable sealants incorporated into the forming web, the new FormFoil structures are ideal for dual-formed packages (both top and bottom webs formed).

Customizable FormFoil structures from Rollprint have been developed to provide chemically-resistant alternatives for existing and newly-emerging challenging applications. Rollprint’s long history of providing the most consistent high performance cold form foil in the market has been enhanced with its recent advances in sealant technology. The company manufactures several different types of sealants including: chemically-resistant polyester, autoclaveable polypropylene, as well as a variety of polyolefin alternatives for both peelable and weld-seal applications.

FormFoil can also perform well in formable foil packages requiring a deeper draw for medical, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products such as sutures, diagnostics, implantables, tablets, caplets, capsules, liquid unit dose, etc.

In addition to the technological advances, Rollprint is one of the only formable foil converters with manufacturing facilities in the United States.

The company also offers its ClearFoil® transparent high-barrier flexible composites as the perfect top web mate for its custom FormFoil structures. The result is a peelable blister package with a clear top layer to facilitate visual inspection and seal verification.

With manufacturing facilities near Chicago, IL and Hartford, CT, Rollprint Packaging Products, Inc. is a worldwide supplier of packaging materials.
