She has been an active member of ASTM Committee F02 on Flexible Barrier Packaging

2005 – The Flexible Packaging Association awards Rollprint Packaging Products
with the HIGHEST ACHIEVEMENT AWARD in PACKAGING EXCELLENCE for their Microperf Dialyzer
Package. The Microperf Dialyzer Package is a newly designed EtO sterilizable pouch
used by Baxter Healthcare Corporation for their single-use dialyzers. Developed
by Rollprint Packaging Products, Inc., it consists of a 3 mil polyethylene copolymer
film that is precision perforated to provide controlled porosity for effective EtO
sterilization while maintaining product cleanliness. The perforated film, which
was developed for its ability to offer excellent durability and reproducible perforation
results, allowed Baxter to automate their dialyzer packaging via a Sig horizontal
form/fill/seal machine, thereby replacing pre-made pouches that were filled and
sealed individually by hand. |

2004 – The Flexible Packaging Association awards Rollprint Packaging Products
with the SILVER AWARD for TECHNICAL INNOVATION for their HDPE- Allegro® T Easy
Peel Formed Pouch. The HDPE-Allegro® T formed pouch is a peelable top web/thermoformable
bottom web package that is used for Sengewald Klinikprodukte's line of sterile surgical
gowns, drapes and covers. In contrast to other paper-based packages which when torn
can emit loose fibers into the sterile operating fields (increasing the likelihood
of contamination); the HDPE-Allegro® T is an all-polymer structure that is completely
fiber-free. |
